Knock down rebuild demolition
House demolition Labrador, Gold Coast

Gold Coast Demolition & Asbestos recently completed the full demolition of an original 1957 fisherman’s cottage in Labrador, preparing the site for a knockdown rebuild and construction of a new home.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom property contained extensive asbestos materials throughout the home, including asbestos walls and roofing, as well as an asbestos boundary fence. Our team safely removed and disposed of the asbestos materials before completing the demolition and site clearance.

The entire demolition was completed within one week, ready for the Queensland builder to move forward with the new home construction.

The project included:

  • Full demolition of the existing 1957 residence
  • Safe removal and disposal of asbestos walls and roofing
  • Removal of the asbestos fence
  • Sewer disconnection and capping
  • Form 4 certification for the sewer cap
  • Demolition permit and required approvals
  • Documentation supplied for the private certifier

With the old asbestos-filled cottage safely removed and the site cleared, the property is now ready for its next chapter — a brand-new home.
